Leading in Changing Environments

A practical programme in leading in changing environments, connecting working concepts with team decisions and relevant workplace examples.

About the Course

This programme develops a working approach to leading in changing environments in the context of management priorities and execution. Participants move from understanding the main concepts to examining a case, testing alternatives and explaining a practical recommendation. The three modules focus on signals of change, flexible planning and team alignment. Examples are selected after the training brief so that they reflect the responsibilities and experience of the participant group.

Course Objectives

  • Explain the role of signals of change and identify the information required for a reliable assessment.
  • Use a structured worksheet to examine flexible planning and compare reasonable alternatives.
  • Identify assumptions, missing evidence and implementation concerns related to team alignment.
  • Prepare a decision brief with responsibilities and performance measures for discussion with a manager and team.
  • Translate the exercise into a workplace action plan with owners, review points and measurable progress.

Who Can Benefit

  • Managers and supervisors: apply signals of change to their responsibilities through a guided case and a course-specific worksheet.
  • Team leaders and improvement coordinators: apply flexible planning to their responsibilities through a guided case and a course-specific worksheet.
  • Strategy and operations professionals: apply team alignment to their responsibilities through a guided case and a course-specific worksheet.
